A Psychologically Safer Workplace and Culture: Can You Make a Difference?
Do you recognize this in your team or organization? Employees who stay quiet, don’t dare to speak their minds or hold back feedback. You may even hear complaints about unsafe behavior. How do you deal with this? And how can you, as a manager, leader, or HR professional, create a work environment where everyone feels safe enough to speak up and contribute?
Psychological safety is the foundation of high-performing teams. Without it, people stay on guard, avoid risks, and learn less from mistakes. In a culture where people experience enough psychological safety, they collaborate better and feel freer to contribute, take responsibility, and grow.
Who We Are
We are Esther van der Sande and Linda Couwenberg, and we help individuals and teams create safer and more inclusive workplaces. Esther is an organizational coach, mentor, and trauma therapist, specializing in trauma-sensitive guidance. She is also an international speaker and facilitator, focusing on promoting safe and inclusive workplaces. Linda is an experienced facilitator, trainer, coach, team coach, and mediator. She guides individuals and groups in navigating change or conflict using a trauma-sensitive approach.
For us, creating psychological safety is at the heart of our work.
The Training: ‘The Power of Psychological Safety’
In this two-day training, we will share practical tools and techniques that we use to create psychological safety. You will learn what it truly means and how to apply it in practice. After the training, you will be able to recognize signs of unsafe working environments and understand how you can contribute to building a safer work culture. You will gain the skills to have difficult conversations and create a culture where people feel free to make mistakes and learn from them.
Evidence-Based and Trauma-Sensitive
The training is based on decades of research by Harvard professor Amy Edmondson and our own experiences working with individuals and groups from a trauma-sensitive perspective. You will gain insights and tools that you can apply immediately within your organization.
For Whom?
This training is designed for managers, leaders, and HR professionals who play a key role in fostering a safer work culture within their organization.
Choose Your Format
The training is available both live and online, in Dutch or English. You can choose the format that suits you best.
